2006-2007

January 13, 2007 - 2007 TOWER BREAKING CLARIFICATION
In the Building/Testing Specification 9) The upper
portion of the tower, that which is at least 290mm above the top surface of the test platform, must not exceed a diameter of
79.5mm, 'at least' is being changed to 'over'.

The new statement, which will be implemented for all 2007 Science Decathlon tournaments from this date forward, is written - 9) The upper portion of the tower, that which is over 290mm above the top surface of the test platform, must not exceed a diameter of 79.5mm.


2005-2006

December 17, 2005 -
Kits will be allowed for all 2006 building events.

October 12, 2005 -
Changes have been made to the Stump-the-Panel rules. One change states that a written test will be made up and administered by STP event supervisors in the event that there are fewer than 10 participants in any given round of STP competition. The second states that teammates cannot call on each other during competition.

October 1, 2005 -
A typo on the Tower Building rules, Building and Testing Specifications section 9) which read 795mm has been changed to 79.5mm. Also, all references to a 14075 gram test load have been changed to 15025 grams.

April 21, 2005 - **NOTE**This Beakers notification is similar too, but different than the Blue Planet notification documented immediately below**NOTE**

Beakers participants will be allowed to bring and use a 1" three-ringed binder of student prepared materials and up to two text books during both Division A and B competition.

April 16, 2005 - Blue Planet participants will be allowed to bring and use a 1" three-ringed binder of student prepared materials and up to two text books during both Division A and B competition.
